education is good, facilities need upgraded.
Though the other review on here says nothing but horrid things about my school, I have been attending this school for three years, (I'll be a senior next year, and there's no doubt I probably know this other person,) this school really is not as bad as it is made out to be. Yes, there are indoor gutters, yes the superintendent is a total tool, and yes sports may seem like they're put first in the scheme of things, but they're not. My department that makes school worth going to, the music department, almost got cut last year, and is in danger of being cut the year after my class graduates. Though this is extremely upsetting, one has to put themselves in the district's shoes; music and other fine arts may help brain development, but when it comes right down to it, your "core" academics, (English, math, reading, social studies, and science,) are more important in the long run... I mean, music is an expensive thing to fund. I totally understand why the need to cut it would arise, even though it makes me angry just thinking about it. The fact of the matter is, money is tight for EVERYBODY.
A great education that is second to none in Washington County despite the facilities being extremely outdated. The good news is major renovations and upgrades are coming in 2019-2020. Their sports teams are top notch too with the exception of football which has been woeful since 1997.
Honestly, the teachers at Warren High School are excellent. There are a few that don't teach as well as others, (I can think of three, and one retired this year,) but they still care about your education just as much, they're just not as good as conveying the information. Many of the teachers there are WAY over-qualified for their jobs, and are extremely smart individuals. I love this school, and every school has it's ups and downs, and unfortunately our school and area are poor right now. Some people need to get over it and accept the fact that nobody, (schools and superintendents included,) is perfect, but for a decent education, Warren High School is the place to be.
The worst school in Southern Ohio, idiots are treated better than people with actual talent, tons go in to sports but there's yet to be an actual ac system. Anywhere is better.
The worst "school" in existence. Education takes a back seat to sports, yet the school has an excellent rating. This is imposable. I have attended this "school" for four years and I am shocked it has that rating. Indoor gutters run throughout the school to collect rainwater. Floors and ceiling are damaged and only a few (3 maybe 4) bathroom stalls still have doors. Instead of fixing the school, our superintendent gave himself a 300,000 dollar raise. Bribes had to have exchanged hands to receive this excellent rating, because there is no logical way this school deserves to even still be running, at least under this super.
